This extraordinary Handmade Afghan Khurjin Rug is a masterclass in colour and tribal expression. Set against a sophisticated steel grey/charcoal ground, an all-over field of bold oval and octagonal medallions bursts with an electrifying palette — each medallion uniquely composed in its own colour story, creating a dynamic, jewel-box effect across the entire surface.

Each medallion is filled with layered geometric centres — concentric rings of arrow-head motifs, stylised tribal trees, cross-and-square fills, and folk-art geometric patterns — rendered in vivid combinations of teal, orange, yellow-green, coral, red, turquoise, pink, and ivory. The cool grey ground provides a modern, sophisticated contrast that makes the colours appear almost luminous — giving this traditional tribal rug a surprisingly contemporary edge.
